Dear Canvas fans. The observant of you will have noticed that on the third thursday in June 2009 there was no canvas.

If you have played Canvas and would like to appear on an upcoming compilation CD then please get in touch. We are working on putting together a selection of the great music from the last 2+ years. We are offering all Bands, Singer/Songwriters and musicians that have graced the night the opportunity to submit a track of their choice for the CD. We will be trying to get in contact with as many of you as we can in the meantime.
If that’s you then please get in contact at info@canvasnight.co.uk and we’ll take things from there. More info coming as it happens!

OK, probably not the best idea to rely on the iPhone for photos in low light conditions, sorry about that guys. Canvas was fantastic last week, A Cup of Tea, BreakinBear and Hapytap gave some stonking performances and the remastered Jurassic Patio was well received on the bar plasma screens. Another big thank you to Amos and Sam Meech for the film offerings this month, great work there. Keep checking back for info about future Canvas events and once again, thanks for your ongoing support, it’s you guys that enable us to keep the Canvas train rolling.

Programme details can be found here: www.asmallcinema.co.uk
There will also be popcorn and refreshments available and an interval with ice-cream.Box office opens 7:15pm, presentation starts 7:45pm and Admission is £2.50.
Hope to see you there!

A Small Cinema
Here are the snaps from last night’s Canvas, music from Neil Campbell, Butcherson and the aptly named Natalie McCool. We had a great turn out so a big thank you to everyone who turned up and made the night what it was. A very special thanks to those of you who entered into the pre-dance ‘head nod’ and ‘foot tap’, you made our DJs very excited – next month maybe, it’d be great to see a bit of dancing again.
For those of you that weren’t there, you missed Mario on the wheels of steel, the return of plasma 2 to 3345, Rich H on a crackly mic that didn’t sound unlike Emporor Palpatine’s fingers when he’s having a strop, Jojopops explaining the popper on his flat-cap, rb124 playing some great music, celebrity attendees (identities protected – but check the photos) and a lot of smiling faces.
